The MINDS Film Festival is an annual event aimed at raising awareness and understanding of intellectual disability through films. Since its inception in 2016, the festival has showcased stories that highlight the individuality and abilities of persons with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs) while encouraging community support.
MFF 2024 will officially open on 13 September, with public screenings held on the weekends of 14-15 September and 20-22 September. The screenings will take place at Shaw Theatres at Lido, Waterway Point, Lot One and NEX. We recommend checking the festival schedule for more details.

This year’s festival will present seven international films, including Poppy, Ezra, Please Make Me Look Pretty, Shadow, Whatever Scares You, Spring in Between, and Stand Up Story. Each film offers a unique perspective on the lives and experiences of persons with special needs.
The festival is open to the public, and we encourage everyone to attend, including families, educators, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested in learning more about special needs.
While the films are generally suitable for a wide audience, we recommend checking the specific film ratings and descriptions on the website to ensure they are appropriate for younger viewers.
Yes, English subtitles will be included for all non-English films.
